I am so excited because today, for $59, I bought the most gorgeous yarn on Etsy. You can see it here. It's perfect. I plan to make the February Ladies Sweater with it from Ravelry.
I have visited the Pure Wool online store and all of the products look amazing. Check it out!
I can't wait until my arm feels better and I can knit with it - hopefully that will coincide with the arrival of the yarn!
Yes, too much action for the ol' wrist yesterday. A day of typing followed by a series of rows, cable pull outs (whatever they are called), and dead lifts. I don't even think Biofreeze will help this one! I have an appointment tomorrow and I think I'll schedule a massage to help loosen my poor muscle. The muscle's nerve goes right between my ring and middle fingers on my left hand. It's quacky.
Mmm...yarn!

A perfect day
1. Wake up around 10.
2. Let in plumber to fix toilet and bug guy to kill spiders.
3. Ride downtown on bike **Bonus: I survived!**
4. Yoga - Starbird isn't very fun, but is very satisfying when held correctly for more than one minute!
5. Jimmy John's ham and cheese (Slim 1) in iceberg lettuce with oh-so cold water
6. Knitting class! I learned how to convert patterns given my gauge! Oh, the power!
7. Ride home with boyfriend.
8. Boyfriend cooks dinner. Mmm...feta/prosciutto chicken!
9. Play on Ravelry forever!
10. Bed time!

To ride, to lift, to type, or to knit...
My wrists and I fight a lot. Our relationship is complicated...to say the least. My right wrist ran off with inflammation earlier this year and my left wrist found itself in a fit of jealousy...and, to make matters worth, decided that imitation was the best form of flattery to try to win back the right wrist's affection.
Therefore, every day, I make choices. I think scientists say in an average day that people make 250+ decisions...so I guess I'm just upping the ante. I get to choose among typing or knitting or lifting weights or riding my bike. Lately I've been getting a "pick three" scenario dependent on time.
My wrists have improved. There was a time I couldn't even hold them up in the air limp (think ostrich head for the visual) without them hurting. After extensive massage sessions, my wrists are 200% improved...unfortunately, they get antsy and are somewhat irritable. I am under the impression that they just get bored.
Oh, well. I've got projects to finish and a queue to uphold!

Breaking my cherry
I am going to finish a project. My knitting teacher tells me that I am a "project knitter" as I have several projects going at once. Currently I have at least 7 projects cast-on, 2 that need ends sewn in, and 2 gauge swatches completed. It's nutty.
I just can't do one project at a time and I absolutely hate sewing in my ends!
I'm a relatively new knitter...and I am in love with the sport of it - my wrists get angry at me at times, but my heart is in it!
I just need the motivation to push through to sew in those ends!
